Garnet Crow - Kaze to RAINBOW (Chaos)

In this post, we will be taking a different turn. This time I will be reviewing a Japanese song by Garnet Crow. I have their songs last time but I did not took notice of them. Until I listen to the other songs by them that did I start to be addicted to their song.

Right, back to the song. This song is featured in the anime "MAR" as the 4th Opening. The title of this song means "Wind and Rainbow". The vocalist, Yuri Nakamura, has a deep voice which makes their song feels unique. Oh and, this song is one of the track in their latest album, 'LOCKS'. Other than this, The first cry, Sekai wa Mawaru to Yuu Keredo are also nice songs. My personal favourites are Kaze to RAINBOW, Yume Hanabi and flying (both old songs).

Secondhand Serenade - Fall For You (Serenity-Chaos)

As promised. This is the hit song for "A Twist in my Story" I mentioned in my last post. This song has a "Serenity-Chaos" description as this song starts with acoustic tunes. Halfway through the song, it changes to electric guitar and drums, therefore becoming "Chaos". Rating: 8.5/10. Overall, this song is good, a nice mixture of "Serenity" and "Chaos". Hope you enjoy the song!

Secondhand Serenade - Your Call (Serenity)

This week I'll be covering Secondhand Serenade's "Your Call". I can't find the official video for this song so I use this instead. Secondhand Serenade publish this album last year called "Awake". "Your Call" is an emotional song which I become downcasted after listening for the first time. I rate this song 7.5/10. Personally I myself doesn't like 'Serenity' songs. I got to know Secondhand Serenade through the hit song called "Fall for You". Maybe I would cover this song next week. Until then, stay cool!

Linkin Park - What I've Done (Chaos)

Ok. This is a 1-year-old song that was featured in the movie "Transformers" as the theme song. This song has a melodic start by Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, then Rob Bourdon brings in the drum, and the chaos starts. Pretty good tune and vocal, not that Chester Bennington has ever failed in that. 9/10. The missing 1 would probably be the mv. I don't understand what they are trying to show here, some random clips here and there showing almost everything!

About the title

Song of Serenity, Song of Chaos

I can't think of any good title for my blog. This is the 1st thing that comes into my mind after quite a while and I think its not bad. Here's the meaning:

Song of Serenity: Describing peaceful and tranquil music genres like classic, pop, etc. Those are musics that goes quite slowly and are able to calm you down. Nothing calm your nerves compared to this, well probably meditation would.

Song of Chaos: Describes about music genres like rock, metal, etc. These kind of music excites you and are faster compared to Song of Serenity. Some contains hardcore screaming and words you may never understand no matter how many times you hear until you find the lyrics. Expletives are used too.
